Altstadtmodell Frankfurter Judengasse 1860 : between 1989 and 1991 i built this 1:200 scale model of a section of frankfurt/germany featuring the year 1860. the model is the centerpiece of the "Museum Judengasse", a branch of the frankfurt jewish museum. prominently featured in the model is the "Judengasse" (the jewish ghetto). there are about 1200 buildings, synagoges, a monastery, a hospital, the jewish cemetery and surrounding areas. the size of the whole model is about 10x12 feet. the black and white photograph at the end shows a brochure and the overview of the model. find more about the "Judengasse" here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankfurter_Judengasse
