From October the 3rd to the 5th 2007, Mark, Vic and BIM were the stars of the popular TV series "Mythbusters"
which is a scientific series on the "Discovery" channel.
After many contract papers were signed, Mark with his carefully picked ground crew of Vic and BIM,
trailered Mark's plane to Castle Air Force Base where the episode was to be shot.
The myth they were investigating went something like this...
If a plane is on a conveyor belt that is traveling in the opposite direction and matching the speed of a plane taxiing, can the plane lift off?
In this case, the 2,000' tarp, pulled by a pickup truck simulated the conveyor belt.
There is no shortage of taxiways to experiment on at Castle because the base has a 12,000' runway! (it was an old B-52 air base)
The plane took off of course and hopefully the questions surrounding this myth will be laid to rest.

If you are familiar with the series, we want to assure you that Jamie and Adam are just as funny and crazy off screen as they are on camera.
Adam zips around on his two wheel Segway and adds "flavor" to the scenes while Jamie is the brains behind the outfit.
While they are international stars, they work with a very small budget.
